Bio: Caleb was born and raised in St. Paul, MN. He grew up playing soccer, basketball, baseball and football before moving to the Bay in 2009 where he fell in love with fitness and began coaching in 2011. Caleb is an avid competitor, competing in both the "sport of fitness" and Olympic Weightlifting on a regular basis and is currently ranked amongst the top 25 in the nation for weightlifting in the 105kg weight class. He is a self confessed lover of the sport, and appreciates the challenge of having to be proficient at a wide variety of movements and not just specializing in one thing.

Bio: Chris Morando is a dynamic coach, personal trainer, and lifelong athlete with over a decade of experience in movement, fitness, and performance. His journey began at the age of 13 through folkloric Bolivian dance, where he performed and led as an artistic director and choreographer for over 15 years, including travel and performance in Bolivia. This foundation in disciplined movement, rhythm, and leadership informs his holistic approach to coaching today.
Chris’s fitness career officially began in the early 2010s, teaching cardio kickboxing at 24 Hour Fitness. After moving to Monterey, he discovered functional fitness and quickly transitioned from athlete to coach, earning his CrossFit Level 1 certification during the pandemic and becoming a head coach. He also coached boxing and conditioning at Boxing Strong in Monterey, where he developed and led a beginner Muay Thai program. Since relocating to San Francisco, Chris has continued his work as a coach and personal trainer, bringing nearly six years of 1-on-1 training experience to the gym floor.
In addition to fitness, Chris is also a professional chef and meal prep business owner. He supports his clients not just through training, but also with practical, chef-driven meal prep guidance to help them stay consistent and nourished. His well-rounded, client-centered coaching style focuses on functional strength, movement quality, and creating sustainable fitness for every stage of life.

Bio: Clint has always been passionate about staying active and engaged with his body. He played organized team sports on any team he could through his high school years. In his young adulthood, he fell in love with outdoor endurance sports. Now, he believes strongly in weightlifting and cardio conditioning as the best ways to stay fit and healthy as we age. Clint mobilizes, lifts, and takes on heavy cardio loads so that he can feel young and be ready for anything, particularly hitting the slopes in the winter. His favorite part of coaching is helping athletes organize their bodies to move well while challenging their own perceived limits.

Bio: Daniel is a Sacramento native who has been involved in sports since a young age. It wasn’t until after high school that he fell in love with weight training and how the body moves properly. Upon moving to San Francisco in his mid twenties, he landed his first fitness based job at a gym and was introduced to group classes, personal training, and endurance sports. His motto is to train for life. Being able to adapt and compete in whatever life presents to you whether that’s running a marathon, a Hyrox race, triathlons, etc. He loves helping others achieve their goals. And will always encourage you to get 1% better everyday.

Bio: Dessert-Rae comes to Flagship with a breadth of experience in commercial gyms, fitness studios and private training facilities servicing PT sessions and group fitness alike since 2012. Her professional background is coupled with a humble beginner's passion for athletic training and education that have allowed her to continuously hone her craft. She possesses a deep connection to supporting others in their fitness endeavors as a dedicated athlete herself relentlessly pursuing strength, resilience, unyielding adaptability and longevity. Though she seeks to support all goals of those collaborating with her, her methods largely focus on leveraging a priority for strength and conditioning while also incorporating nutrition and lifestyle optimization to help others reach their goals and truly pursue their greatest ambitions beyond the boring standards. She emphasizes an individualized approach, encouraging her athletes to focus on their unique strengths and interests to help guide their training for both lasting results and a more rewarding journey along the way.

Bio: I grew up in Ecuador, where wellness has always been an important part of my life. As a kid, I struggled with being overweight, which pushed me to stay active through basketball, swimming, weightlifting, and martial arts. My challenges weren’t just about body image—I was also mindful of long-term health risks from overeating (trust me, I’ll always be a foodie at heart).
In 2007, I immigrated to the U.S. to pursue a career in science and engineering, and I’ve worked in the food industry in various capacities ever since. Over time, my relationship with food and exercise evolved. Then, in 2020, I discovered Flagship—and I was instantly hooked. The programming challenged me, but more importantly, it connected me with an incredible community that made fitness fun and rewarding.
Beyond coaching at Flagship, I’m also a dancer and choreographer trained in modern, contemporary, and Afro-Brazilian techniques, with a deep appreciation for somatic practices.
Fun Facts:
I’m a Kukkiwon-certified second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
My mom’s family is Chinese, so I know a few words in Chinese.
I’m a native Spanish speaker—¡así que también podemos hablar en español!

Bio: Originally from Indonesia, Ferdi began his athletic journey as a competitive swimmer from a young age through his teenage years. After retiring from swimming, he continued his fitness journey in a commercial gym, later moving to the U.S. where he discovered the “sport of fitness.” He quickly fell in love with this style of training that blended strength and conditioning.
Ferdi joined Flagship as a member in 2018, working closely with coaches to develop his skills and techniques. Ferdi’s dedication led him to compete in numerous CrossFit events. In 2024, his passion for fitness and helping others inspired him to become a coach at Flagship.

Bio: Jackson Maschoff, born in Houston, Texas and raised in the vibrant outdoors of Phoenix, Arizona, has always been fueled by a passion for adventure. A dedicated mountain biker and a die-hard Auburn College Football fan, Jackson’s love for physical challenges naturally led him to the fitness world. With over 8 years of coaching experience, he channels his knowledge into helping others achieve their goals. As an athlete, Jackson has competed in both the sport of Olympic Weightlifting and CrossFit, as well as HS Lacrosse, Football and Swimming. As a personal trainer, Jackson takes pride in seeing his clients break barriers. His enthusiasm for fitness, combined with his deep commitment to empowering others, makes him a dynamic and motivational coach who is always pushing boundaries—both his own and those of the people he guides.

Bio: Jalebi earned her NASM CPT in 2019 and then started as a personal trainer in 2020. After lockdown she became an independent personal trainer and was eventually able to focus full-time as a trainer and coach and earn additional certifications. She has worked as a coach for several years coaching HIIT and strength-focused classes with kettlebells and dumbbells. Her favorite thing about coaching is the energy created by the community/ members! Fun fact: Jalebi has been dabbling in aerial dance and hand balancing off-and-on for almost ten years!

Bio: James grew up in central Jersey, where he developed a foundation in endurance sports during high school and college (cross country, swimming, and ultimate frisbee). He joined Flagship in 2017 after moving to SF, having started his strength and conditioning journey a few years prior. A memorable moment in his athletic career was competing with a team at Strength in Depth when he was living in the UK. Always up for a challenge, James is looking forward to his next team adventure—whether it’s Hyrox, triathlons, or something else that pushes his limits. Bio: Originally hailing from Los Angeles, John was inspired by his father who coached collegiate and high school football for more then three decades.
He has grown into his own in the city after extensive experience teaching different forms of fitness - from helping coach collegiate athletes at the University of California Berkeley, to helping adults achieve their ideal body composition at various boutique fitness studios over the past five years.
Outside fitness John enjoys reading, riding through the bay on his motorcycle, and traveling across the world for live music and nature. His motto has been, "Bet On Yourself." He enjoys taking the calculated risk to get himself and others outside of their comfort zones to be the best versions of ourselves we can be.

Bio: Jon moved to the Bay Area from Richmond, VA in 2019. Fitness has always been a foundational part of Jon's life. Jon grew up playing basketball, lacrosse, running track and swimming. In college, he walked on to the Cheerleading team where he first got exposure to powerlifting and gymnastics. After college he turned to cross-training-style workouts because they seemed to most closely mimic the structure and intensity of his college workouts. As a coach, he emphasizes virtuosity – doing the ordinary extraordinarily well – so that all of his athletes can move efficiently and achieve their fitness goals.

Bio: Originally from New England, Kelly developed a passion for fitness and movement through competitive sports. She discovered weightlifting in college and was drawn to the confidence, discipline, and resilience that strength training builds both inside and outside the gym.
Kelly earned her certification during COVID and began working with clients one-on-one, helping them move better, get stronger, and build sustainable habits. In 2021, she started coaching boxing and strength classes in Boston, where she found a passion for creating high-energy, welcoming classes that challenge people while making fitness feel approachable.
Outside of the gym, Kelly works for a company focused on making high-quality mental health care more accessible. In her free time, she enjoys hiking and spending time outside with her dog, taking trips up to Lake Tahoe, and cooking up new recipes.

Bio: Raised in Florida, Liz moved to the city in 2017 to work in hotel management. COVID hit the industry hard in 2020 and she took a leap of faith, got her CF Level 1, turned her favorite hobby into a career and started coaching in the city. After years of functioning as only an athlete, she realized she has been made with “people skills” and a heart to help others reach their goals, one small step at a time. She coached in Potrero Hill until 2022, when she took a year off and went to South Africa on a faith journey. She moved back to the city in 2024 and started coaching with Flagship in June. Bio: Maurits started his fitness journey as he was entering his 30s (2015), which started with wanting to look good at his wedding. It then very quickly became what is now almost a decade-long learning journey about human movement, mobility, performance and skill.
In 2020 Maurits became a member at Flagship. With the support and help from the coaches and athletes, there is opportunity to learn something new every day. He became a coach in 2024. Bio: Zach has been active in sports since a young age and simply loves to move. He was offered scholarships to run x-country at several colleges, but chose UC Riverside where he walked-on to their soccer team. Soon after graduation, Zach realized his calling was in health and fitness. He now shares his love for movement and competes in the "sport of fitness" to feed his competitive nature. Bio: Michael "Bing" Bingaman is driven by a love for movement, connection, community, and continued personal and professional growth, which has kept him engaged as a coach in the sport performance world for over 12 years. Bing has coached at every level of sport, from general population to collegiate teams to Olympic sport through weightlifting, baseball and softball, elite skiers and snowboarders, as well as elite cyclists.
As an athlete, Bing was multidisciplinary in high school, and went on to compete in the "sport of fitness" then weightlifting, transitioned into bodybuilding, and has since dropped 50 pounds to race ultradistance gravel and mountain bikes. Bing believes deeply in bringing joy and human connection into the world, and loves using training as a cornerstone toward fulfillment in life.

Bio: Brendan has been an athlete his whole life, from baseball to rugby, kick-the-can to tennis. If it involves movement he is all in.
After overcoming a multiple year battle with chronic neck and shoulder pain that made any movement difficult at 20 years old, Brendan was inspired to share his knowledge of the human body with others. He now lives pain free and has competed in intramural sports, Powerlifting, the sport of fitness, and Olympic Weightlifting.
These days you can find him practicing gymnastics, trying not to get choked out in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or surfing the cold Pacific waves.

Bio: Journeying through a range of sports from sprinting and long distance running, to 10 years with a ballet company, to rock climbing and skiing, Brit developed a love of health and feeling fit from an early age. She earned a degree in biology, wanting to learn more about human anatomy, physiology, and nutrition. Brit’s goal is to share her interest in the body’s form and function and to help others enjoy being strong and healthy.

Bio: Emily, originally from Ohio, grew up playing sports and has always loved lifting weights. Her love of movement inspired her to get both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Kinesiology. Emily is a career movement coach, with over 8 years of experience, who prioritizes motor control and movement mastery with a goal of sustained long term physical activity. Emily believes that pushing yourself physically, specifically through strength training, can be a catalyst that helps break down barriers of self-doubt both in and outside the gym.

Bio: Nick has been passionate about fitness from a young age, having competed in various sports including football, basketball, wrestling, and track. With over 10 years of experience coaching group fitness classes, he's had the opportunity to teach at multiple functional fitness gyms across the Bay Area as well as 9 Round Boxing. Most recently he coached at Alameda CrossFit before moving back to the city.
Nick cares about helping others move efficiently and safely while pushing them to get the most out of their workouts. Seeing members challenge themselves and support each other is one of the most rewarding aspects of coaching.
In addition to coaching, he's an avid athlete myself, having completed over 20 Spartan Races and several Tough Mudders. Nick also enjoy road biking, hot yoga, boxing, and skiing. His favorite movements include front squats, handstand push-ups, and various gymnastics exercises.
